DescriptionCatechin 7-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Catechin 7-glucoside has been detected, but not quantified in, several different foods, such as adzuki beans (Vigna angularis), barleys (Hordeum vulgare), green vegetables, and pulses. This could make catechin 7-glucoside a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on Catechin 7-glucoside.
