Metabolite Identification
Common Namegamma-L-Glutamyl-gamma-L-glutamyl-L-methionine
Descriptiongamma-L-Glutamyl-gamma-L-glutamyl-L-methionine, also known as g-L-glutamyl-g-L-glutamyl-L-methionine, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as oligopeptides. These are organic compounds containing a sequence of between three and ten alpha-amino acids joined by peptide bonds. gamma-L-Glutamyl-gamma-L-glutamyl-L-methionine has been detected, but not quantified in, pulses. This could make gamma-L-glutamyl-gamma-L-glutamyl-L-methionine a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on gamma-L-Glutamyl-gamma-L-glutamyl-L-methionine.
