Metabolite Identification
Common Name3',8-Dimethoxyapigenin 7-glucoside
Description3',8-Dimethoxyapigenin 7-glucoside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. 3',8-Dimethoxyapigenin 7-glucoside has been detected, but not quantified in, breakfast cereal and cereals and cereal products. This could make 3',8-dimethoxyapigenin 7-glucoside a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3',8-Dimethoxyapigenin 7-glucoside.
