These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. a-L-Arabinofuranosyl-(1->2)-[a-D-mannopyranosyl-(1->6)]-D-mannose has been detected, but not quantified in, garden tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum). This could make a-L-arabinofuranosyl-(1->2)-[a-D-mannopyranosyl-(1->6)]-D-mannose a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on a-L-Arabinofuranosyl-(1->2)-[a-D-mannopyranosyl-(1->6)]-D-mannose.
