Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-({6-[(6-{[11,16-dihydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-14-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]heptadecan-5-yl]oxy}-4-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-3-yl)oxy]-4-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-3-yl}oxy)-2-methyl-3-{[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-4-yl acetate. This compound has been identified in human blood as reported by (PMID: 31557052 ). Celanide is not a naturally occurring metabolite and is only found in those individuals exposed to this compound or its derivatives. Technically Celanide is part of the human exposome. The exposome can be defined as the collection of all the exposures of an individual in a lifetime and how those exposures relate to health. An individual's exposure begins before birth and includes insults from environmental and occupational sources.
