Metabolite Identification
Common Name1-Tetradecanoyl-2-(9Z,12Z-octadecadienoyl)-3-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycerol
Description1-Tetradecanoyl-2-(9Z,12Z-octadecadienoyl)-3-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycerol, also known as 2-(octadeca-9,12-dienoyloxy)-3-(tetradecanoyloxy)propyl icosa-5,8,11,14-tetraenoic acid, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triacylglycerols. These are glycerides consisting of three fatty acid chains covalently bonded to a glycerol molecule through ester linkages. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 1-Tetradecanoyl-2-(9Z,12Z-octadecadienoyl)-3-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycerol. This compound has been identified in human blood as reported by (PMID: 31557052 ). 1-tetradecanoyl-2-(9z,12z-octadecadienoyl)-3-(5z,8z,11z,14z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycerol is not a naturally occurring metabolite and is only found in those individuals exposed to this compound or its derivatives. Technically 1-Tetradecanoyl-2-(9Z,12Z-octadecadienoyl)-3-(5Z,8Z,11Z,14Z-eicosatetraenoyl)-sn-glycerol is part of the human exposome. The exposome can be defined as the collection of all the exposures of an individual in a lifetime and how those exposures relate to health. An individual's exposure begins before birth and includes insults from environmental and occupational sources.
