These are diarylheptanoids with an open heptane chain. The two aromatic rings are linked only by the heptane chain. 1-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione has been detected, but not quantified in, herbs and spices. This could make 1-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on 1-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-7-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione. |
