Description | 3,5-dihydroxy-7-{3-hydroxy-2-methyl-8-[(2-methylbutanoyl)oxy]-1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl}heptanoic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as medium-chain hydroxy acids and derivatives. These are hydroxy acids with a 6 to 12 carbon atoms long side chain. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 3,5-dihydroxy-7-{3-hydroxy-2-methyl-8-[(2-methylbutanoyl)oxy]-1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl}heptanoic acid. This compound has been identified in human blood as reported by (PMID: 31557052 ). (3r,5r)-7-[(1s,2r,3r,8s,8ar)-3-hydroxy-2-methyl-8-(2-methylbutanoyloxy)-1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl]-3,5-dihydroxyheptanoic acid is not a naturally occurring metabolite and is only found in those individuals exposed to this compound or its derivatives. Technically (3R,5R)-7-[(1S,2R,3R,8S,8Ar)-3-hydroxy-2-methyl-8-(2-methylbutanoyloxy)-1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydronaphthalen-1-yl]-3,5-dihydroxyheptanoic acid is part of the human exposome. The exposome can be defined as the collection of all the exposures of an individual in a lifetime and how those exposures relate to health. An individual's exposure begins before birth and includes insults from environmental and occupational sources. |
