Common Name(8S,9S,10R,13R,14S,17R)-3-Iodo-10,13-dimethyl-17-[(2R)-6-methylheptan-2-yl]-1,2,4,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,17-dodecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-3-ol
Description5-iodo-2,15-dimethyl-14-(6-methylheptan-2-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]heptadec-7-en-5-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cholesterols and derivatives. Cholesterols and derivatives are compounds containing a 3-hydroxylated cholestane core. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5-iodo-2,15-dimethyl-14-(6-methylheptan-2-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]heptadec-7-en-5-ol. This compound has been identified in human blood as reported by (PMID: 31557052 ). (8s,9s,10r,13r,14s,17r)-3-iodo-10,13-dimethyl-17-[(2r)-6-methylheptan-2-yl]-1,2,4,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,17-dodecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-3-ol is not a naturally occurring metabolite and is only found in those individuals exposed to this compound or its derivatives. Technically (8S,9S,10R,13R,14S,17R)-3-Iodo-10,13-dimethyl-17-[(2R)-6-methylheptan-2-yl]-1,2,4,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,17-dodecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-3-ol is part of the human exposome. The exposome can be defined as the collection of all the exposures of an individual in a lifetime and how those exposures relate to health. An individual's exposure begins before birth and includes insults from environmental and occupational sources.
