Description | Nigellidine belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyridazinoindazoles. Pyridazinoindazoles are compounds containing a pyridazinoindazole moiety, which consists of a pyridazine ring fused to an indazole. Nigellidine is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, nigellidine has been detected, but not quantified in, herbs and spices. This could make nigellidine a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
