HMDB Protein ID HMDBP07507
Secondary Accession Numbers
  • 13215
Name Cadherin-13
Synonyms
  1. H-cadherin
  2. Heart cadherin
  3. P105
  4. T-cad
  5. T-cadherin
  6. Truncated cadherin
Gene Name CDH13
Protein Type Unknown
Biological Properties
General Function Involved in calcium ion binding
Specific Function Cadherins are calcium dependent cell adhesion proteins. They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells; cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. May act as a negative regulator of neural cell growth
