Identification
HMDB Protein ID HMDBP07689
Secondary Accession Numbers
  • 13398
Name N-formyl peptide receptor 3
Synonyms
  1. FMLP-R-II
  2. FMLP-related receptor II
  3. Formyl peptide receptor-like 2
Gene Name FPR3
Protein Type Unknown
Biological Properties
General Function Involved in G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway
Specific Function Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system
