Identification
HMDB Protein ID HMDBP09222
Secondary Accession Numbers
  • 15038
Name Nogo-B receptor
Synonyms
  1. NgBR
  2. Nuclear undecaprenyl pyrophosphate synthase 1 homolog
Gene Name NUS1
Protein Type Enzyme
Biological Properties
General Function Involved in transferase activity, transferring alkyl or aryl (other than methyl) groups
Specific Function Acts as a specific receptor for the N-terminus of Nogo- B, a neural and cardiovascular regulator. Able to regulate vascular remodeling and angiogenesis. Its similarity with UPP synthase proteins suggests that it may act as a scaffold for the binding of isoprenyl lipids and/or prenylated proteins
